NME are claiming My Chemical Romance are 'emo'

On NME's photo gallery 'Weirdest New Stories of 2008', the've done an item on the fact that Russia have been thinking about banning emo. Fair enough, I mean that is really weird and a complete infringement of free speech. But whose picture did they put up to illustrate emos? Yeah. MCR’s. After six years of telling everybody otherwise, people still think they're emo! I have no issue with emo at all, so don't get me wrong, but My Chem are my favorite band and I am every bit as sick of having to explain that they aren't emo as they are themselves. Is it not enough for their front man to be quoted saying emo is a pile of bullshit, and to tell their fans at almost every single concert they've ever done that we shouldn't cut, should get help for depression, and should definitely never kill ourselves? It has only ever been those who have seriously misconstrued the message that have ever hurt themselves in any way over My Chemical Romance. It has definitely never been what the band wanted anybody to do- they are all really against it. The entire reason they started the band was because Gerard wanted to make a difference- wanted to save lives. Yet idiotic major corporations like NME, Yahoo! ()their , The Daily Mail (FUCK THEM!!) and many others continue to talk over all of our voices, and still spread the message that they, and we who love them, are emo. Well, I'm sick of it. I'm not sitting down and taking it any more. I'm bloody well over getting teased at school and discriminated against wherever I go just because I love My Chemical Romance and am not afraid to show it.
Can someone please get back to me with a way I can contact NME or if they agree with me and want to take steps to stop this injustice once and for all? (And by that I mean without suicide, obviously. They're exactly as much of a deathcult as they are emos.) I just want to make myself heard. I can't stand this any more!
